We spent the hottest days of this summer here and had a great time. Thanks to the professional and high-quality renovation of the cool stone house (even in 39 degrees it was 24 degrees inside - without air conditioning -) and the kindness of Marietta and her partner! Thank you for the friendly welcome and the delicious gifts!
Anyone who wants peace and fresh air 15 minutes from Lake Balaton will not be disappointed. We will definitely return and we wholeheartedly recommend the abejarat guesthouse to everyone!

Great stay at Marietta’s place. Lovely hosts, they left us some local snacks, wine, and a lemonade as welcome gifts. They were very friendly and super easy to communicate with them.
The house is quiet, comfortable and fresh during summer, and there is an AC as well (upstairs). The garden is huge and what we loved is that it’s bug & bee-friendly, therefore there were many butterflies everywhere. 😊

A perfect choice in the Balaton Uplands!
If you are looking for a truly memorable family vacation, A Bežár Vendégház is the best choice. We were welcomed in a beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and very homely house. Our biggest favorite was the garden, where we spent time in a fantastic atmosphere. We tried baking in the oven, which was a great experience, and after the sunsets we talked by the campfire. We are very grateful to our hosts, Marietta and Zoli, for their attention and for this wonderful experience!

Our family spent the May long weekend here, we couldn't have made a better choice!
The accommodation is homely, well-equipped, beautiful, everything we needed was available. We were also able to make very good use of the garden due to the wonderful weather, we spent most of our days here.
Hiking opportunities, restaurants nearby, but we also recommend it to anyone who just wants to recharge their batteries in a quiet environment.
Marietta and Zoli are an extremely attentive, kind, and courteous couple, they helped us with everything, and welcomed us warmly.
We will definitely be back.❤️

My partner and I spent a wonderful weekend at Marietta and Zoli’s guesthouse; it is incredibly cozy, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The house is spacious, tastefully furnished, and offers plenty of reading material and board games—making it tempting to just stay put and relax. We truly felt right at home.
The garden is stunning, filled with flowers and birdsong; you can even have a barbecue and enjoy dinner outdoors in a truly idyllic setting.
If you arrive by car, you can park safely either in front of the house or in the courtyard.
Communication was seamless, too—the hosts were quick to respond and very helpful in answering all our questions.
There are countless sights and hiking spots in the area, making the accommodation a perfect base for exploring the Balaton Uplands.
If you are looking for comfortable, peaceful accommodation, I wholeheartedly recommend the Bejárat Guesthouse. Special thanks to Marietta for the delicious treats, the local wine, and the excellent recommendations.

Marietta was always easily reachable by phone before our arrival and readily answered our questions.
Marietta and her husband welcomed us with homemade wine and a cold platter featuring delicious local produce, served under the arbor in the beautiful courtyard upon our arrival.
The accommodation itself is rustic—in the best sense of the word. I recommend it to everyone!

We arrived at the Bejárat Guesthouse in Balatonhenye with friends for a gastronomic tour combined with some cycling, and I can honestly say the place exceeded all our expectations.
The house is simply beautiful: tasteful, clean, and incredibly welcoming. It is the perfect choice for anyone who loves peace and quiet and being close to nature; the tranquility of the garden and the surrounding area helps you unwind instantly.
The owners were exceptionally kind and helpful. It was a special treat to have the chance to chat informally with them and the locals on our last evening; such a warm, genuine, and cheerful welcome is a rarity.
We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a quality getaway and authentic hospitality!

A truly secluded, yet fully equipped guesthouse in the beautiful Káli Basin: located in a quiet little hamlet where you can really slow down. The house is spacious, tastefully renovated, comfortable, and apparently not furnished “just for spending money”, but thoughtfully, with heart and soul, equipped with everything – so that you can feel carefree and comfortable.
The kindness and helpfulness of our host, Marietta, was noticeable from the moment we made contact. She provided lots of good tips on where to go and what to see in the area. She also helped with organizing the transfer from the train, daily shopping and even finding out the bus schedule, for which I was especially grateful.
I really liked that there was plenty to do in the evenings: lots of books, a real cozy atmosphere – the TV was not missing at all. The garden is sure to be wonderful in the summer, and the outdoor barbecue area and oven are perfect for a shared, family dinner.
The village is also very friendly: the nearby convenience store, the cozy local pub, the hiking trails, the babbling brook in front of the house and the kindness of the locals all add to the feeling of peace.
We also caught an extreme period: one of the coldest, snowiest weeks in recent years, but it was still pleasantly warm inside (we were especially grateful for the underfloor heating). Squirrels were running around in the yard, we saw deer in the nearby forest – it really was like we had fallen into a winter fairy tale.
We will definitely come again! 😊

We wanted a peaceful, quiet, cozy place around New Year's Eve.
We found everything here. The hosts are very kind, helpful, but not intrusive. It was nice to talk to them.
The house was renovated very tastefully, lovingly, with every little detail, so that its old atmosphere was preserved. It is spacious, clean, equipped with every little thing, except for the TV. Instead, many books and board games await visitors!
We were there in winter, so we did not use the garden barbecue facilities, but Marietta and Zoli would have been happy to help with this too.
In the neighboring village of Köveskál, there were several restaurants to choose from, but we spent our cozy, quiet, candlelit New Year's Eve dinner at the Káli Art Inn Restaurant. The snow has also arrived, conjuring a real winter atmosphere in the landscape.
The sights of the area are easily accessible and within a short distance, making it an excellent destination for nature lovers. The National Blue Trail route also passes through the village!
We can only write good things, we recommend this charming place to everyone.

We were welcomed by really nice hosts - unexpected wine and snacks on the table. We were lucky enough to be almost the first to stay there, both the building and the equipment are brand new. Despite the fact that the cottage, typical of the village and fitting into the landscape, has been renovated, it is modern and aesthetic both inside and out. The layout of the apartment is far from standard, they adapted to the possibilities of the old building. The furnishings are testament to a discerning owner, and the decoration is the work of skilled female hands. The kitchen equipment is also brand new. We weren't affected by the issue, but the design is remarkably child-friendly. After the big trips, we even found good books on the shelves. We didn't spend much time in the garden due to the cold, but due to its beautiful design, we will definitely come back here again in a warmer season.

This little jewel box, which the hosts dreamed up, is located in a wonderful environment, in the Káli basin, close to everything, yet in a very quiet village. The house is beautifully renovated, spacious and extremely comfortable, equipped with everything you could need. There are board games and lots of books in the house, which we enjoyed playing with in the evenings. The garden is beautiful, very enjoyable even with small children, there is a swing, a sandbox, and the garden barbecue and oven are perfect for evening family barbecues and grilling. For the older ones, there is also a darts and ping-pong table. There is a small stream in front of the house, a small shop and a cozy local pub a few steps away, and hiking opportunities. We really enjoyed our stay with our large family for a few days, and we also received lots of recommendations about the area from the hosts.
We will definitely be back. 🙂

The “a bejárat” guesthouse is a real treasure in the Balaton Uplands. The house is cozy, homely, every little detail is thought out with love. Marietta and Zoli are attentive, kind hosts who take care of their guests with all their heart and soul.
The environment is beautiful, quiet and peaceful – the proximity to nature is completely filling. You will want to come back here, because you can truly find peace here.
